Ugh....sometimes it's just so tough to be a mom to adult children. They think they can up and leave you any time they please. Who said they could do that?
Last night was our final evening with F.M.S. before he left. He's in the states until Sunday, but not where I can see him. I'm okay, or, I will be. I just don't want him to leave.
He gave the kidlings Taiwan and Japanese money.
Miss M wasn't at all sure about this paper money business because she knows that coins are the valuable money. After all, that's what her piggy bank is full of.
Yeah, these two are going to miss each other. She's the one he was most concerned about as far as not remembering him. He's got nothing to worry about now. Fortunately, she doesn't realize how long it will be before she sees him again.
Practicing her Taiwan Fab. Haha....she's American. She doesn't get that it's supposed to be like our wave.
Yep, got the Uncle to try it too.
Even got her Dad to try it.
Then, of course, we have to have the group shots. Isn't it great how easy it is to get them all together and how nicely they settle in for the pose? Okay....kids....hey! Look over here...no...stop wiggling...really...I mean it....
That's better.
Then it was kisses and hugs all around, I love you's were professed, good travel blessings were bestowed, a couple of tears from me.....and then he was gone.......
I really don't like this part.
oh, lily. huge hugs. my heart aches for you. but what a huge gift you had. he was visiting for a relatively long time. can he do video chat with the kids? my brother is on an ice breaker in antarctica much of the time, and he swears by skype.

HI Lily,
ReplyDeleteOh...sad! I can't even imagine how hard it must be to say goodbye! I'm glad you got to see your son though.
