My sister and I visited a pottery studio during Art Prize and K mentioned that she would really like to learn how to make pottery.
As it happens, the proprietor teaches classes.
We signed up.
...and we've learned.
Simple techniques that we've had so much fun learning. I'm eager to see what they look like after glazing.
Beautiful! I love the tea kettle.
ReplyDeletePottery has been on my list to try for a long time. In fact, I have a friend that has invited me to join her at a studio in a nearby town. I need to make that happen. :-)
What fun! I didn't realize you were in W MI too!
ReplyDeleteKathryn - do it! It's been a great learning experience.
ReplyDeleteJoan - I chuckled at your post of K's and my hike when you mentioned it might be in the U.P. K and I discussed whether we should give away our secret, but it's really the stretch out of Lowell and up to Fallasburg Park. Beautiful area. By the way, K knew who you were right away. I think you know her as well. Will we see you at the showshoe hike in February?
